Comments:
Birth (St. Anne Auray, Brittany (Toulouse), France) Abraham Dugas, a skilled gunsmith perhaps from Chouppes, Diocese of Poitiers, was 24 when he reached the Port Royal in 1640.
He married Marguerite, a daughter of the sieur d'Aunay's trusted lieutenant, Germain Doucet dit La Verdure, in 1647. They had eight children, including three sons who made families of their own
