2nd son of John Crane and his wife Harriet (Cox)
born at 12 Barrett's Place Melverton, Lemington England
Came to Canada at the age of 18 (approx 1883), met his wife soon afterwards at a Church supper in Toronto. They went to England on their honeymoon for 3 months so Maryann could meet the family.
family moved to Vancouver from Toronto in 1910 after Grandmother Eliza died (in 1909).
